Rents grew by 4.4% towards the end of 2016 into 2017 throughout the Northwest. Of this 3 of the 5 areas in the UK have been within the Manchester region with rental prices close to an increase of 10% per annum for specific areas within Manchester and Cheshire.
Investment wise, the Manchester and Cheshire regions have become a focal point in recent years. Investors focusing on Manchester City Centre can expect to achieve yields of 5% – 6%. For those wishing to do further research or utilising local advisers then yields of 8% – 10% can be achieved in specific suburbs.
The continuously changing landscape and increasing prices within the City are the best signal of the demand required in Manchester and its surrounding areas.
